Eco di Mare

The Vermentino vineyards flourish in the aeolian red sands of Donoratico, in perfect synergy with the long rows of lofty, shade-giving maritime pines that lead to Argentiera.

The 2022 growing year will be remembered as the hottest in recent decades, one that required enormous efforts to cope with higher temperatures and irregular rainfall, specifically assisting the vines to respond to stress in a balanced manner and to use their natural resources to adapt to different climates.

Careful management of soil, fertilisation, canopies, and micro-irrigation combined to allow us to harvest grapes that were perfectly sound with no signs of drying, partially helped by 42mm of rain in mid-August.
